Product Description:
Rocky - Cardboard Cutout
Approx 6ft Tall Cardboard Cutout. Sylvester Stallone made his mark with the first Rocky movie - the tale of a boxer with little hope of a future named Rocky Balboa. Four sequels would follow with Rocky fighting Mr. T and the huge Russian Drago played by Dolph Lundgren.
Sylvester Stallone created Rocky Balboa, his beloved signature role, after watching little-known boxer Chuck Wepner earn respect in his underdog battle with then-heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali. It took Stallone just 3 days to write the original script for Rocky. His portrayal of the loveable Philadelphia tough guy fighting for love and respect made him an international superstar. Like Wepner in real life, Balboa lost his fight against the heavyweight champion in Rocky, but more importantly, the lightly considered, no-name challenger "went the distance" with the best. Immortal cinematic moments from the Rocky films include the determined club fighter rising at dawn on an icy morning for a training run through Philadelphia, ending with a dash up the city hall steps, arms upraised, triumphant. Another is Rocky in a meat-packing plant, pounding a side of beef like it was a gym heavy bag. And who will ever forget Rocky looking for his lady love in a post-fight crowd, yelling her name: “Yo, Adrian!”
Celebrate all that and more, with this hard to beat Rocky cardboard cut out - a rare piece of merchandise for an iconic 80s superstar.
This full sized photo-quality cardboard cutout arrives in our own specially designed rigid packaging. Easy to assemble, the cutout has a fold-out strut to the rear which means it's entirely self supporting.
